Jana and Mimi's treat-making adventure!

So Jana came over last night to help me make the yummy treat we gave out for this month's relief society challenge. We made cake balls, which were really yummy and easy to make!

Step one: Bake a cake. Any flavor will do, whether it be for a box or from scratch.
Step two: Crumble it up into little tiny pieces:

This was one of two cakes we baked: Dark chocolate. Yummy!

This is the second cake: yellow cake with blue food coloring just to be different.

Step three: Mix in a can's worth of frosting. Again: either store bought or homemade. We opted for cherry frosting for the chocolate cake and vanilla for the yellow cake.

Jana did the dirty work for me :)

Lacey was a big help, too.

Step four: Roll into 1- 1/2 inch balls and coat in melted chocolate. I like to use chocolate chips and add about a tablespoon of shortening to make a softer chocolate thats easier to bite through. Then decorate as desired!

The finished product!
